Banana Bread

Wondering what to do with all of those gross-nasty brown bananas that you bought two weeks ago and swore that this was the time you really would eat the whole bunch?  I have your solution!

(Don't you love that I say "you" like I have this huge following of people reading this blog!  Really, it might just be my favorite brother sitting at his desk on Monday morning; so if that's the case, Scott print this recipe for Mary Chandler, she'll love it!)

Chocolate-Chip Banana Bread
3 large bananas (the browner the better!)
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 large eggs
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
chocolate chips (I didn't put an amount because you don't want to know the ridiculous amount that I usually add!)

Preheat oven to 350.  Mash bananas together with baking soda.  Mix other ingredients with bananas and pour into 2 large loaf pans.  Bake at 350 for 1 hour.  Easy Peasy!

i follow the blog! i also buy bulk bananas hoping i'll eat them. unfortunately, we only like them in the green stage, so i have one waiting in my kitchen that is very not green but not quite banana bread level. once it gets there though, i'll try the recipe!

Yum Banana Bread...sounds great. Before Ella Rose started eating bananas ours always went bad too, but she loves them so we can't keep them around here long enough for them to turn brown. You just wait Sarah...when Owen starts eating bananas, no more banana bread for you and Kyle. ;)

i read your blog sarah - you're so cute and humble :) ha. i tried to make banana bread once - tasted like rubber. gross. i'll try your recipe - if it still tastes like rubber, i'll know it's my fault.
