My First Quilt!

While Owen is having all kinds of fun new firsts (more on that to come) I thought it was about time I have a "first."  I've always wanted to make a quilt, but every time I've tried to make a square quilt it has turned out more of an octagon somehow (possibly due to the fact that I've recently learned how to sew in a straight line!)  Anyway, our good friends Julie and Mike are having a baby and I thought that would be the perfect opportunity to work on my quilting skills.  I used thick batting so this quilt will be the perfect tummy mat for the new little Sully soon to come in May!

Since January I've been attending the Ladies AM Bible Study at Providence (cleverly called LAMBS) on Tuesday mornings.  There is a group of precious women who watch the totletts while their mommies are in the study.  To say thanks I made them some Chocolate Velvet Ice Cream Sauce.  These little jars were so cute all lined up on my counter that I just had to take a picture of them for you.
Warm, fuzzy quilts and chocolate... what a yummy post!

So creative! I've been wanting to know how to do that fuzzy lining on the quilt so one of these days I'll have to get you to teach me!
