Traditions

Our family loves traditions.  We attend every NCSU football game with the Tucker side of the family decked out in all of our red paraphernalia... from our NCSU tent and table cloth all the way down to our red grill and NCSU trash can (did you know they made State trash cans!)  I wish I had a picture!  It's hilarious!

The Batchelor side of the family goes to the beach every year (see earlier post).  We rent one giant house and our 24 1/2 (Raleigh is due in August) member family piles in.  We have matching t-shirts made, cook meals together, make pound cakes and eat batter until we are sick, play games, make each other laugh... the usual stuff!  Turns out going to the beach as a family is a long-time Batchelor tradition.  My Great Uncle Ed sent me these precious pictures of him at 6 months old with his father (my great grandfather) at Wrightsville.  We joked that his father's tan lines must have been a sight, although you must admit how handsome he looks!  This year there were 4 generations together at the beach.  I know how wonderful it is to hold my own chid, but to be able to hold my child's child's child at the beach one year would be a dream!
