Farewell Fair

Oh the NC State Fair!  You either love it or you hate it and we are ridiculously in love with it!  This year we went our average 3 times.  Of course, we got NCSU Ice Cream each time.  I wish I had taken a picture, but you get at least a half gallon for $4 piled high in this little cup.  It's a balancing act.  We always get it right before we go see the giant pumpkin and the cows.
This year we went with Eric and Olivia first.  They are always fun to go with because they like to see all the same things we do... and Olivia is the only one who loves to hold the baby chicks as much as me!
Our second trip was with Kyle's parents.  We got the giggles about everything and kept saying "Sham-Wow" in place of the regular "Wow" when we'd see good fair outfits on people or for the ridiculously priced Turvis Tumblers.  What's that all about?!  We ran into Ryan and Angie just as Ryan started milking this cow.  Perfect timing!
This was how Owen enjoyed the fair with my parents on our third visit.  When we go with Scott, Mary Chandler and my parents we always go through the Village of Yesteryear.  This is my favorite exhibit at the fair by far!  There are craftspeople from all over the state who come together to show how they use techniques passed down through the generations to make things.  Owen slept a good majority of the time, but woke up in time for the pigs.
Farewell fair... until next year!
