This past weekend the Batchelor side of the family went camping at Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia.
Owen did a great job packing up the trailer while we relaxed at Scott and Mary Chandler's house. So nice of him to carry his weight!
Then he put up our tent when we got there. Gosh, what a big helper he was!
After a big day setting up camp, he enjoyed his favorite bananas and baby goldfish by the fire.
We hiked for 4 hours on Saturday and 2 hours on Sunday on the Appalachian Trail. 
Owen was such a trooper!
The trails were absolutely beautiful... I think we hit it on peak weekend! Here's our crew:

We were just up there on Thur.(& were there twice in Sept.)& the color is waning, but still such a great place. You did hit peak! We saw it in Ashe Co. & this year was spectacular.
