Kyle and I just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary!! To surprise me, Kyle made a reservation for us to stay in the same place we spent our first two nights together on our honeymoon...
The Fearrington Inn in my beloved Chapel Hill!!!

The Fearrington is decidedly one of my favorite places on the planet... in fact, I think it's top 5!! How about that!? This was the door to our room. We stayed above the Vietri shop in the Village.

Late April is, in my opinion, the greatest time to get married because the flowers are in bloom and it's not too hot yet. We got to enjoy the absolutely beautiful gardens each day and read in the sunroom with the doors open and the sound of the fountain close by.

Even the weeds are gorgeous here, don't you think?!

Afternoon tea was served and we were pampered with fresh biscuits, scones, bite-sized sandwiches and...

Hot raspberry tea... one lump or two? That evening we were served a 5 course meal at their 5 star restaurant (one of only a couple in the state!) We ate for 2 and a half hours and enjoyed a few firsts for me: raw tuna (WAY better than cooked tuna), caviar (salty, I didn't like it too much), and lamb (sorry Bambi!). We also had seared scallops, hand made chocolate truffles and hot chocolate soufflé. It was nothing short of amazing... what an experience!

Fearrington is known for their Belted Galloway cows. Am I the only one who can't look at one of these little guys without mooing!?

On our way home Kyle took me by
A Southern Season... another one of my favorites! He wasn't too sad that I wanted to stop by there either!! (He loved the wall-o-jellybeans!)

I told Kyle that he earned himself at least another 5 years! (ha!) We are so thankful that the Lord allowed us to experience this place that holds so many wonderful memories for us again! I can't wait until our 10 year anniversary!
Psalm 126:3
"The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy!"
