New Year's Progressive Dinner

Kyle and I went to our very first progressive dinner this year for New Years... what a blast!

Here are the girls: Sara, Amber, Olivia, Brooke, Me (and no, it wasn't really windy, we knew our hats looked that good!)
Brooke and Tonya wowed us with the appetizer round. Olivia wowed us with the dinner round... look at these decorations! Yes, those are chair covers!
She actually taped each individual balloon down to the floor! Pretty impressive I'd say!
Daniel made his first lasagna. By made, I mean heated it up, but we were all still very proud of him!

He also was the brainchild behind the decorations for the drink area. He wrapped white lights around the stove... it looked awesome!
We ate on plastic plates with real china silverware. It was quite the combination!
Daniel made up a game called "The Decade's Best" where we each took turns voting off our least favorite in a list for each of 3 different categories... Movies, Music and Television. So we narrowed it down to our top 3 for each category:

Movies:

(These movies were agreed to be the best movies of the decade, from the list.)

1. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

2. The Departed

3. Love Actually

Music:

(A general criteria for this category is that the group rose during the decade and dominated, in our opinion of course!)

1. Coldplay

3. Justin Timberlake

Television Shows:

(Again, the criteria we decided on was that the show start during the decade and dominate.)

2. Survivor

3. Arrested Development

We ended the night over at Dave and Amber's to watch the ball drop... and to award Ryan his Fantasy Football trophy. Well earned, he has won the last 3 years so he deserved an official awards ceremony.
He was mildly excited about the trophy!
