West Palm Beach

I'm a little behind on my blogging because we've had lots going on around these parts lately.  Let me catch you up...  Kyle had to go to West Palm Beach, FL last week for business and invited me to come along.  I decided I'd really take one for the team and keep him company in Sunny Florida!!  My parents watched O, so it was our first time apart for an extended time in a year.  

We went from Sunday through Thursday and I made it all the way until Tuesday before I cried because I missed our little boy!  (Kyle had a bet with his buddy that it would be the first night, so I'm proud of my strength!)

While we were there we visited The Breakers Resort.  It's a really old resort that was built by the Flagler family two centuries ago.  (And for you Carolina fans, that's the same Flagler of the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.)

"Lavish" doesn't even begin to describe this place!  While we were there two Porsches pulled up and we parked our sweet little rental car next to a Ferrari! 

We also visited the boardwalk in Hollywood.  

This place was straight out of the 80's!  Kyle and I kept thinking that some guy in neon spandex was going to rollerblade by us!  We were pretty bummed when it didn't happen.

One day I was laying out by the pool and my mom called.  She asked me what I was up to and I said just taking a nap under a palm tree, to which she laughed and told me that it was SNOWING in Raleigh!  Sheesh!  Can't say I missed it too much though!
