This year we spent Thanksgiving with the Batchelor's in Winston Salem. Mama Lew has just been diagnosed with cancer in her lung, liver and brain so we spent some special time together laughing and giving thanks for the wonderful life she has lived and the great legacy she has passed on.
The food was nothing short of amazing with every dessert imaginable! The view of the ducks and the fountain was perfect, but it was the company that left nothing to be desired! (Well, not having to wash any dishes was nice too!)
Mama Lew was so generous to pass on to Mom and me a portrait of Owen... errr, Dad, when he was about Owen's age. When we showed Owen the picture we asked him who it was. He of course said "That's Owen!" Isn't that amazing!?!
As always, it was a special time. We thank the Lord for allowing us to enjoy every minute with Mama Lew!

Sarah, I am so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. My mom was just diagnosed about two months ago with lung cancer. Just wanted you to know your family will be in my prayers, please let me know if you need to talk!
PS- Owen looks EXACTLY like your grandad! how amazing!
