Reading

It has been so long since my last post that Owen has now started "reading"!

I'd say he's a pretty avid reader actually!

We take him to the library once a week to get new books... always about trucks. His favorites are the combine harvester, standard truck, produce truck, road roller and street sweeper along with the garbage truck and yes, he knows them all by name and will often correct me when I accidently call a backhoe a bulldozer... silly mommy! We've checked out every book about trucks from the children's section twice and from the young adult section once. He has even started reading to the dog! (Seriously, he actually surrounded Cutter with all of his favorite books then sat on the floor and flipped the pages for a very patient Cutter!)

He can also be seen mowing the grass with Kyle in matching father son outfits!

He's such a big boy!

On another note, we found out that we are having another baby boy!! O is excited to be a big brother. We talk about what we are going to do if the baby cries and he says, "Give her a hug and give her a blanky and a paci." (For some reason the pronoun is always a "her" even though he knows he's having a brother!) If you ask him what the baby's name is he'll tell you "Baby Secret" because he has overheard Kyle and I say that we are keeping the baby's name a secret so many times! Hilarious!
